Timeline (a work in progress)

Harris, Klebold & Associates' activities

6:00 a.m. - 7:00 a.m.

6:15 a.m. Klebold is seen talking to Nate Dykeman inside the bowling alley. (Justin Kehm)

--"Justin stated that he had been at his bowling class at the AMF bowling alley at Federal and Belleview, the class started at 6:15 a.m. I asked Justin if he knew Harris or Klebold, and he stated that when he got to class he saw Dylan talking to Nate Dykeman, near the front doors but he didn't remember seeing him after about 7 or 7:10 a.m. I asked Justin if he saw Eric and he stated no." (11k, p.6710)

--"Saw Klebold talking to Dykeman at bowling on 4/20." (10k, p.16289)

Note: Kehm used to play soccer with Harris, so he was familiar with Harris.

Note: Going the speed limit, it's a 9-minute drive from the bowling alley to Columbine. If Harris and Klebold left by 7 or 7:10 a.m., this matches Sarah Leary's account of walking into Columbine with Harris at 7:20 a.m.

It's a 9-minute drive from the bowling alley to Columbine.
It's a 9-minute drive from the bowling alley to Columbine.

However, Andrew Beard reported seeing Harris at the bowling alley at 7:15 a.m., and Frank Zirger reported seeing Harris bending over the trunk of his car in the parking lot at Columbine at 7:05 a.m. It's possible that these two witnesses just didn't provide an accurate timeframe, since the actions they reported did match other witness reports.

6:15-6:20 a.m. - Harris is seen at the bowling alley; threatens Jessica Rosecrans. (Jessica Rosecrans)

--"On 04/20/1999, Jessica Rosecrans observed Eric Harris at the AMF Belleview lanes at approximately 6:15 - 6:20 a.m., when Harris stated to her, "You are such a stuck up bitch. Someday you are going to pay for it." (11k, p.17489)

--"At approximately 6:15 to 6:20 a.m., Rosecrans was getting her shoes when she saw Harris. Harris said to her, "[REDACTED]." That comment was the extent of their conversation. Rosecrans did not see anyone else from Harris' team." (11k, p.4239)

--"Harris was believed to be wearing a blue and white flannel shirt, jeans, Nike hat, and Nike shoes. It is unusual for Harris to wear Nike apparel." (11k, p.4239)

Note: Rosecrans personally knew Harris and Klebold.

6:20 a.m. - Shanna Geslin sees four cars parked side-by-side in the senior parking lot at 6:20 a.m. (Shanna Geslin)

--"Drove N/B on Pierce Street at about 0620 on 4-20-99 en route to Sophomore parking lot in Clement Park. At that time noticed 4 cars in Senior parking lot that were parked "side by side" which she thought was unusual. Was unable to describe these cars of their occupants." (11k, p.6424)

7:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m.

7:05 a.m. - TCM associate Frank Zirger notices Harris bending over the trunk of his car with another male. (Frank Zirger)

--"Frank is familiar with Eric Harris' car, a light gray 1989 Honda Prelude with a "Rammstein" sticker on the rear window. As Frank walked past the Junior lot, he saw Eric's car parked in the Junior lot with the trunk open, and saw Eric behind the car, somewhat bent over as if he was doing something in the trunk. The car was approximately 30-40 feet from the school. Eric was wearing black fatigue pants and possibly his black KMFDM t-shirt. This caught his attention because it was unusual to see Eric at school that early, and that he was not parked in his usual spot, which is in the Senior lot.

He had already walked past the car, passing within about 10-15 feet of it, and did not say anything to Harris. He does not know if any of the others with him saw Eric. Frank said that while not absolutely certain, there may have been another male standing near the car with Eric, described as tall, slender, black pants, black waist-length jacket with no patches, whose back was to him." (11k, pp.7412-7413)

7:15 a.m. - Harris and Klebold are seen inside the bowling alley. (Andrew Beard)

--"Beard said that on the morning of 04-20-99 he was at bowling class and observed Harris and Klebold at the opposite end of the bowling alley. Beard wanted to approach Klebold about the fantasy baseball trade, and when he finished bowling he went looking for him. Klebold and Harris were gone. Beard described Harris as wearing his trench coat, and Klebold as wearing his black t-shirt and Boston Red Sox baseball cap. Beard believes that both Harris and Klebold were wearing jeans. Beard estimated he saw Harris and Klebold at 07:15 and discovered that the were gone at approximately 07:30." (11k, p.685)

7:15 a.m. - Harris is seen in the cafeteria wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans with an unknown male. (Abigail Boles)

--"She stated that at approximately 0715 hours that day, she saw Eric Harris in the commons, or cafeteria area, at which time she said, "Hi" to him. She stated that he returned the greeting and then she said goodbye to him while she was en route to her first class... She stated that Eric Harris at that time was wearing normal blue jeans and a white t-shirt, with some type of print on it. She also stated that he was carrying a black backpack with him

Abigail Boles further advised the investigators that when she met him that morning in the commons area he was with some other male that she did not know by name. She stated that she has seen this person around the school before and that he had not graduated from the school. Upon further questioning, she was explicit in the fact that this other person was not Dylan Klebold with Eric Harris in the commons area. She further was certain that this person also was not a 'Trench Coat Mafia' member, otherwise she probably would have known his name. She could only describe this other person as being a white male, and being of the same height as Eric harris. She further stated that this person had short dark brown hair." (11k, pp.6160-6161)

--"Abigail Boles saw Eric Harris, wearing white t-shirt in cafeteria at 0715 hrs, April 20th - exchanged greetings and she went to class." (10k, p.17969)

7:20 a.m. - Sarah Roasberry observes three males dressed in camouflage in the upper North hall. (Sarah Roasberry)

--"Sarah continued to say that the only thing she saw that seemed unusual involved three male subjects she observed in the North main level hall about 7:20 a.m. on the morning of the twentieth who were wearing camouflage clothes. Sarah said that she did not know these people." (11k, p.4210)

7:20-7:30 a.m. - Harris walks into the school with Sarah Leary. (Sarah Leary)

--"Walked into school with Harris on 4/20/99 7:20 a.m." (10k, 16292)

"Leary stated she was friends/acquaintance with Eric Harris. Leary stated on 04-20-99, at about 0730 hours, she walked into the school from the parking lot with Harris. Leary stated she walked up the steps located next to the cafeteria. Leary stated that Harris was wearing jeans, a white t-shirt, and a dark flannel shirt. Leary stated when she was greeted by Harris in the parking lot, then he gave her a hug and asked her why she was dressed up, to which she explained her activities between second and fourth period. Leary stated Harris was not carrying any books or a backpack, and that Harris usually carries a black backpack." (11k, p.6774)

7:30 a.m. - Cherilyn McClain sees a male in a trench coat and wrap around sunglasses near Belleview and Alamo. (Cherilyn McClain)

--"That on the morning of the incident (042099) at about 0730, as Cherilyn was driving South on Kipling between Belleview and Alamo, she saw a white male wearing a trench coat, no hat, and wrap around sunglasses, walking by himself with his hands in his pockets." (Tips, p.13344)

7:30 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. - Four witnesses see a group of male high school students, including Dylan Klebold, across from the "Mormon House" at S. Pierce Street and W. Polk Ave, gathered around several vehicles. (Barbara Karakusis, Tammy Solano-Gonzales, Bruce Lebsack, Julie Thomas)

Witness #1: BARBARA KARAKUSIS

--"Barbara Karakusis advised Investigator Eaton that on April 20, 1999, she dropped her daughter off at Columbine High School at approximately 0730 hours. She advised she left the school Southbound on Pierce to take her son to his school. She advised as she was Southbound on pierce passing the first street South of the school, she noticed a group of five to six white males standing and sitting on the Southwest corner of the intersection. She advised that two of the males were sitting on what appeared to be large backpacks and the rest of the males were standing talking with each other. Barbara Karakusis advised that one of the males who was standing caught her attention because he had short blond hair and he appeared to be older than the others.

"Barbara Karakusis advised Investigator Eaton all the males were dressed in black clothing and that the male who looked older than the others appeared to be in his mid-20sShe advised this male was standing and had a black colored blanket or coat draped over his left arm. Barbara Karakusis also advised that the packs on the ground were all dark colored/

Barbara Karakusis advised Investigator Eaton that she thought it odd that all the males were dressed in dark clothing and that one of them was too old to be in high school." (11k, p.7523)

Witness #2: TAMMY SOLANO-GONZALES

--"I telephoned Solano-Gonzales who said that she drove by CHS every morning on her way to work. She said that she would see a tall kid with dark curly hair wearing black military style pants and some other juvenile males outside of the school by Polk and Pierce, just about every morning. She said that on the morning of April 20, 1999, she was driving to work and saw the same tall white male, wearing the black military style pants, along with several other males, looking into the trunk of a tan colored car. Solano-Gonzales said that the males were just staring in the trunk and were not putting anything in it or pulling anything out of the trunk of the car.

Solano-Gonzales said that she had seen the same male wearing the military style pants, outside the school every morning for the past two weeks, along with several other males. I asked her why she remembers the males. She said that she specifically remembers the male who was always wearing the military style pants because there was a guy at the high school she attended who dressed the same way. She said that after arriving at work and hearing about the shooting and after seeing the picture of the shooters, she is very sure that the white male wearing the black military style pants was definitely Dylan Klebold."

She said that she took more notice of the males that morning because there were more of them than she had seen there over the past few days... Solano-Gonzales said that the other males were wearing white or light colored t-shirts while 'Klebold' was wearing black military style pants and a black t-shirt.

She described the car as being a tan or yellowish colored Plymouth Reliant type body style older model about a 1985." (11k, pp.9834-9835)

"For the past several months she had seen the same high school aged boy standing on that street corner. She said she has since recognized the boy as Dylan Klebold, from the televised coverage of the incident... Gonzales described having seen 'Klebold' standing beside a tan colored 'smaller' car on April 20, 1999 at about 7:45 a.m. She said as she drove by she saw him looking into the trunk of the car with about three other high school aged boys." (Tips, p.13206)

(Also see: 10k, p.20099)

Witness #3: BRUCE LEBSACK

--"Lebsack told me that at 0800 hours, on Tuesday, 04-20-99, he was on his way to work when he saw a newer green mini-van, possibly a Ford Windstar, parked on the South side of West Polk Avenue, at the corner of South Pierce Street. Lebsack observed that outside the vehicle were several males, possibly six or seven, all dressed in black, standing at the rear of the mini-van near the cargo area." (Tips, p.13312)

Also see: (11k, Ashly Pimley, p.4072)

Witness #4: JULIE THOMAS

--"That on 042099 at about 0755 hours, Julie turned onto Polk St. from Pierce St. and saw a small, brownish/goldish truck parked on the South side of Polk St. with two teenage males seated in the cab of the truck and possibly three teenage males standing near the back of the truck.

That Julie also advised that two of the males standing near the back of the truck were wearing trench coats which she thought was odd, the third male behind the truck was dressed in black, and she did not see the clothing of the two males sitting in the cab of the truck.

That Julie further advised that across the street from the aforementioned truck is a house that has a sign out front designating it as a "Christian Center." (Tips, p.13571)

Unknown time a.m. - Witness sees cop car with "clearly marked police insignia" parked in one of the CHS lots sometime that morning, pre-11am. (Steve Ogle, 1056)

8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.

8:20 a.m. - Klebold is seen sitting in the cafeteria alone. (Brian Deidel)

--"He stated on 04-20-99, he noticed that Klebold was sitting in a back corner in the cafeteria by himself. I asked him what Klebold was wearing and he stated he was wearing his trench coat and a hat, which was backwards." (11k, p.1388)

8:20-8:25 a.m. - Klebold drives out of the parking lot. (Michelle Fox, Tina Bernacchi)

Witness #1: MICHELLE FOX

--"Michelle said that as Tina's car came to a stop at the South end of the parking lot, preparing to turn left, she saw Dylan Klebold drive Westward, past their car, presumably en route to his designated parking space within the senior parking lot. Michelle estimated that this would have been about 8:25 a.m. Michelle said that she immediately recognized Dylan's black BMW, and said Dylan was driving it. Michelle said that Dylan was the only person inside his car that she could see, and that as usual, Dylan was wearing a (backwards) black ball cap and his black trench coat." (11k, pp.5194-5195)

Note: Fox knew Klebold since elementary school and was in Harris and Klebold's fourth hour creative writing class.

Note: Although Fox presumed Klebold was driving into the parking lot, Tina Bernacchi saw him driving out of the parking lot at this time. Since Klebold had been seen in the cafeteria ten minutes prior, it makes sense that he was on his way out of the parking lot at this time.

Witness #2: TINA BERNACCHI

--"She stated that she pulled into the parking lot at about 8:15 a.m. [...] Tina stated that while she was pulling into the Junior parking lot (Southeast side of the school) she saw Dylan Klebold driving his later model, black BMW. She stated that he was on the road exiting the parking lot and not yet at Pierce (generally traveling Northeast). She stated that Dylan was not driving "unusually fast." She stated that the speed limit is 15 mph and that everyone typically goes about 25-30 mph.

Tina stated that Dylan was alone and that he "looked like he always does, that grumpy stare on his face." (11k, p.2455-2456)

8:36 a.m. - Harris buys 2 Blue Rhino propane tanks at the 7540 West Chatfield Conoco. (Kenneth Tubbs)

--"He further stated that at about 8:30 a.m. on that date, a white male entered the store and asked to purchase two (2) propane tanks. Mr. Tubbs describes the white male as being about 16 or 17 years old, skinny, with blond hair and wearing jeans and a t-shirt.

Mr Tubbs stated that the teenager paid for the purchase of the propane tanks with twenty dollar bills. Mr. Tubbs stated that "Blue Rhino" propane tanks are the brand of tanks sold at the Conoco gas station."

"Mr Tubbs stated that after the sale of the propane tanks, he asked another employee named Stan Gall to go outside with the customer, unlock the propane tank cage and get two propane tanks." (11k, pp.7780-7781)

--"Receipts recovered from search warrant Harris' house. Propane tank purchased 04-20-99 at 09:12:22 at Texaco, 6798 W. Ottawa. Two propane tanks purchased at Conoco-7540 W. Chatfield at 04-20-99 at 08:36:45. Evidence item #261."

Note: This event was the only propane purchase recovered from a CCTV recording. Two Blue Rhino propane tanks were found in each of Harris and Klebold's vehicles for a total of four Blue Rhino tanks. The tanks found in the cafeteria appear to have rust around the seams, which indicates they were older tanks already in their possession.

8:41 a.m. - Harris (allegedly) posts something to the internet from his home computer. (CNN.com)

According to CNN, Eric Harris posted the following to an AOL chatroom at 8:41 a.m. from his home:

Member name: Eric Harris
Hobbies: today is my last day on earth
Computers: be prepared

Note: This has never been confirmed by any documentation from AOL and it was not released in any documents, so it's not clear where CNN got this information. Also, this content reads like an AOL profile and would not be the right format for posting in a chatroom. This doesn't make sense and can't be taken seriously.

This information also doesn't fit into the timeline. It's not possible for Harris to have bought propane at 8:36 a.m. and then post something in a chatroom at 8:41 a.m. from home. After paying, it had to have taken at least 3-5 minutes for the clerk to get the propane out of the cage for Harris, get it loaded in the car, and then Harris would have had to drive home, park, walk to the door, unlock the door, access the internet with a dial-up modem, log into AOL, find his chatroom, type out his message, and then post. All of this would be impossible to complete by 8:41 a.m. if he bought propane at 8:36 a.m.

*Unknown time a.m. - A contractor working for Harris' neighbor sees Harris and Klebold breaking things. The times appear to have been redacted.

--"Reffitt stated he was working next door to Harris' residence on 4-19-99 and 4-20-99. Saw Klebold and Harris both days. Heard them banging on wood and breaking glass. Reffitt saw Harris with a crow bar. They were working between [REDACTED] and [REDACTED] [REDACTED]." (10k, p.17997)

9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.

9:00 a.m. - Leigh Ann Clark sees a suspect she appears to identify as Robert Perry using a pay phone. (Leigh Ann Clark)

--"I have second hour off about 9:00 a.m. I was walking to see my friend in jewelry class and he was walking past the phones. He was tall, about 6', white, skinny, his hat was backwards, he had sunglasses on, black long coat with some kind of a red heart cross thing on it, black army boots that went up high to the knees, black pants with pockets on the sides, chains everywhere on him, and a black backpack. He was walking slowly and looking around slowly." (11k, p.2723)

--"Leigh Ann stated she saw the "weird" student as she was approaching this classroom around 9:00 a.m., and the person was looking all around while walking slowly down the hallway. The suspicious person was alone and wearing his hat on his head backwards. She went on to say he had sunglasses that were plastic and all black with circular lenses on. An insignia was in the center of a long black coat. The coat was almost knee length. It had pockets on the side and he wore it with the collar raised up in the back. Leigh Ann feels the jacket was open and had buttons to close it instead of a zipper.

The suspicious party was carrying a black backpack over his right shoulder. He had metal chains on his hat, backpack, and pants. His black pants were fabric, not jean material, and had pockets on the side. His boots were black and high, almost to the knee with black shoe strings." (11k, p.2726)

--"She went on to say that the subject had been using the pay phones located near the attendance office, and had been on the phone nearest the interior wall."

"R/I responded to CHS and noted the phone number of the phone alluded to above as 303-979-9631. The numbers of the 2 additional pay phones were recorded as 303-979-9625 (center) and 303-979-9613 (nearest the hall)." (11k, p.2728) Note: When deciphering the redaction, the spacing fits Robert Perry.

9:00 a.m. - Lindsay Ludwig sees two males hiding by a white pick-up truck parked in space #428. When she looks at them, they duck out of sight. (Lindsay Ludwig)

--"She reports observing nothing suspicious in the parking lot as she exited, but noted some activity in the junior lot at approximately 0900, when she had gone into the lot to assist another student with a project. While in the lot, she observed 2 males standing near a white pickup belonging to Hanah Balay. She reports the 2 seemed to be hiding, and when she looked at them they ducked out of sight. She describes them as white males, one being taller than the other... she stated the 2 were in the last row of the junior lot, near a wooden fence." (11k, p.6815)

9:00 a.m. - Harris and Klebold are seen walking in the hallway of Columbine (Dustin Harrison)

"He said he did see Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris on 4-20-99 at about 0900 hours walking in the hallway of Columbine High School and he said "hello" to them. Dustin said he did not notice anything different about Dylan Klebold or Eric Harris in the way they acted. He said Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris were talking and seemed happy and in a good mood." (11k, p.6576)

9:12 a.m. - Harris buys 1 propane tank at the 6798 West Ottawa Texaco (Tammy McGinnis)

--"Contact regarding sale of one propane tank on 4/20/00 at 9:12 a.m. for $52.39. Tammy LNU advises that she was on duty and probably made the sale."

"Completed interview with Tammy McGinnis on 4-27-99. She identified a photo of Eric Harris #3 in photo spread as having purchased propane tank on 4-20-99. Sale occurred at about 9:12 a.m." (10k, p.18077)

"Video collected-day of occurrence, was filmed over-no value." (10k, p.17601)

Note: Did Harris go home after buying the first 2 propane tanks at Conoco? It's hard to say. Officially, they say he went home and posted to the internet at 8:41 a.m., but that timeline doesn't work. It's also suspicious that investigators said literally everything with a timestamp was off that day except for the cafeteria tape.

Between 8:36 a.m. (Conoco receipt) and 9:12 a.m. (Texaco receipt), we don't know where Harris went. However, there would be about a 30-minute gap between the time he finished buying propane from the first gas station (about 8:40 a.m.) and when he bought propane from the second gas station (9:12 a.m.).

Did he drive from one gas station to the other? The two gas stations he bought propane from were about a 5-minute drive apart:

It's a 5-minute drive between the two locations Harris bought propane that morning.
It's a 5-minute drive between the two locations Harris bought propane that morning.

Note: Harris could have gone home after his purchase at Conoco (arriving about 8:45 a.m.), and then he could have driven to Texaco. It would have been a 7-minute drive from Texaco back to Columbine High School, which does fit with the timeline of when Mollie Weksler saw Harris and Klebold in the parking lot at 9:30 a.m.

9:30 a.m. - Harris and Klebold are seen sitting on the hood of Harris' car (Mollie Weksler)

--"Dylan Klebold did not go to this class, but she saw Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris outside of Columbine High School in the North Senior parking lot sitting on Eric Harris' car hood. Mollie Weksler described Eric Harris' vehicle as a black or gray Honda Prelude and said when she saw them sitting on the hood of Eric Harris' vehicle, this was at approximately 0930 on 04-20-99. Mollie Weksler said Eric Harris had his vehicle parked approximately two parking spaces away from Dylan Klebold's vehicle in this North Senior parking lot of Columbine high School." (11k, p.7357)

9:35 a.m. - A teenager in a black trench coat is seen near Coal Mine & Marshall (Meg Beck)

--"4/20 9:35 a.m. I drove around Collegiate Academy @ Coal Mine & Marshall to take my daughter to the dentist located at 6885 S. Marshall. I saw a teenager sitting under a tree near Coal Mine with a black trench coat on. He almost appeared to me at the time to be a lookout for something." (Tips, p.13015)

10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

10:05 a.m. - Harris is seen by the gym (Daniel Bell)

--"He told me he saw Eric Harris by the gym at 1005 wearing a black t-shirt with green writing, black pants, and carrying a black pack small in size." (10k, 21919)

10:15-10:20 a.m. - Harris and Klebold are seen outside the front of the school between the main hall and the South hall exit door. (Mike Casey)

--"He encountered Harris and Klebold between 1015 and 1020 hours outside the school on the East end of the building between main and South hall exits. They were walking South. Neither had guns or bags." (10k, p.22404)

10:20 a.m. - Klebold is seen exiting the social studies wing alone. (Michael Berry)

--"Berry remembered seeing Dylan Klebold at school on the 20th. He said he was wearing a black beret, sunglasses, a black cloak (trench coat), and black pants. He said he saw him coming out of the social studies wing at about 1020 hours. He recalls nothing unusual about Dylan that day, he did remember that Dylan's hands were in his pockets and he was by himself." (11k, pp.5384-5385)

10:20-10:25 a.m. - The diversionary bombs are placed (possibly - this is unconfirmed)

A mail delivery person (allegedly) spots Harris and Klebold walking East down the path from the spot where the diversionary bomb was placed (Randy Brown)

Where the diversionary bombs were placed against the fence.
The diversionary bombs were placed against the fence to the left of the shed.

The diversionary bombs were placed against the fence to the left of the shed.
The diversionary bombs were placed against the fence to the left of the shed.
The diversionary bombs were placed against the fence to the left of the shed.

According to Randy Brown, at 10:15 a.m., a mail delivery person told him she saw Harris and Klebold walking East from the location where the diversionary bomb was found in the greenbelt near the 7900 block of South Wadsworth and Elmhurst. This is significant and possibly accurate, give or take 5-10 minutes, since multiple people reported seeing Dylan's BMW flip a U-turn in a cul-de-sac one block from the school at 10:40 a.m. before barreling into the parking lot. (Keep in mind, Dylan's BMW had a passenger wearing a light-colored baseball cap and was followed by a tan sedan matching Nate Dykeman's vehicle, with two occupants)

It takes about 8 minutes to drive between the school and the location where the diversionary bombs were placed. If Harris and Klebold were seen speeding into the parking lot at 10:40 a.m., they could have easily placed the diversionary bombs between 10:20-10:25 a.m. and left to return to the school by 10:40 a.m. Although the mail carrier said she saw them at 10:15 a.m., other witnesses saw them leave the school building outside the East exit around 10:15 a.m. If they left the school at 10:15 a.m., they would have arrived at the diversionary bomb spot at approximately 10:23 a.m. If they left the school at 10:20 a.m., they would have arrived at the diversionary bomb spot at approximately 10:28 a.m. If the mail carrier's story is true, this fits perfectly into the timeline with minor adjustments for actual times.

10:40 a.m. - A block from Columbine, a construction subcontractors see 4 teens in a black BMW followed by a tan car (Jason Adams, supervisor) (Roger Anderson, subcontractor) (Gary Talocco)

Witness #1: JASON ADAMS

--"They [his subcontractors] advised him that a black BMW followed by a small tan car broke through the cul-de-sac then left heading towards Columbine High about five minutes later they heard loud bangs coming from Columbine." (10k, p.7423)

Witness #2: ROGER ANDERSON

--"Anderson was loading dump trucks at the corner of Caley Street and Pierce Street, across from the South parking lot of Columbine High School on the morning of April 20, 1999. At approximately 10:00 a.m., Anderson recalled seeing a Jefferson County Sheriff's Officer on a motorcycle sitting at the Caley/Pierce intersection watching for speeders. About 15-20 minutes after the officer left the area, Anderson saw two vehicles turn off Pierce and onto Caley Street. Anderson advised that the two vehicles came about 100 feet onto Caley Street and then made a u-turn and returned to Pierce Street."

--"Anderson stated that the first vehicle was a black of dark blue BMW that contained four teenagers. Anderson recalled that the teenager in the passenger seat of the BMW was wearing a light colored baseball hat. The second vehicle that was tailgating the BMW was described by Anderson as a light colored, mid-sized vehicle containing two individuals." (11k, p.7430)

Witness #3: GARY TALOCCO

--"Talocco stated he ran over to the tennis courts and assisted guiding students out of the area. While in that area he spoke to an unidentified maintenance man who had been working on the school roof. That individual told him he had seen the individuals in the shooting exit a black vehicle in the parking lot, along with a third person, shortly before the shooting started. He also stated he had observed a small tan colored vehicle following the black one as it arrived in the lot."

"I contacted (W)Clark by phone. He confirmed talking with (W)Talocco, but stated (W)Talocco had apparently misunderstood the conversation. (W)Clark stated he told (W)Talocco he had seen three kids in the back of the school laying down, apparently shot. He did not have any information on vehicles or other suspect activity. (W)Clark also stated to his knowledge, he was the only person working on the roof that day." (11k, p.8976-8977)

10:45 a.m. - Harris and Klebold are (allegedly) seen at the smoker's pit with Brian Sargent (Nicole Dickey)

--"Saw Harris & Klebold @ smoker's pit at 10:45 w/Sargent." (10k, p.16278)

Note: Dickey's interview summary doesn't mention Harris and Klebold being withSargent in the smoker's pit, however, she mentions meeting up with Sargent afterrunning away from the smoker's pit.

10:45 a.m. - Harris and Klebold (allegedly) fire two shots from the smoker's pit (Nicole Dickey)

--"She said she left the school on the North side to go to the smoker's pit at 10:45. When she looked North towards Clement Park, she saw two people dressed in black trench coats and black pants. She said both were wearing black ski masks when she first noticed them. As she watched them from a distance of about thirty yards, they removed the ski masks and placed them on the table. She recognized them as Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold. Both of them were standing under the blue gazebo Northeast of the school. Next to one of them was a large three-foot long green duffel bag. She said she started to walk over and talk to them.

Nicole said when they noticed her, they raised pistols and fired two shots at her. One of the shots hit the grass next to her on her right. Nicole said she turned and ran downwards Pierce Street and never looked back."

--"At Pierce and Polk she was picked up by two friends, Brian Sargent and Frank Zigler [Zirger]. They then drove to Burger King for lunch. She said the three of them were going to meet for lunch. When asked why she did not tell anyone what had happened, she said she was scared of what they might do to her." (11k, p.6321)

Note: Sargent told investigators he was studying for a test in his government/economics class from 10:20-11:10 a.m., after which, he and Frank Zirger drove to the North side of the school to pick up Dickey and then they went to Burger King. (11k, p.10886)

10:58 a.m. - Harris brings a large duffel bag and a backpack into the cafeteria. (Cafeteria CCTV)

10:59 a.m. - Harris leaves the cafeteria empty handed. (Cafeteria CCTV)

10:59 a.m. - Klebold brings a large duffel bag and a backpack into the cafeteria. (Cafeteria CCTV)

10:55-11:00 a.m. - Harris is seen leaving the school parking lot (Leigh Kamens)

--"Saw Eric Harris leave parking lot at approximately 10:55 a.m. Also saw Klebold fire a weapon into the school." (10k, p.19939)

--"When I was returning to Columbine at about 10:55 a.m., as I turned to go into the parking lot, I saw Eric Harris in a silver car, turning right out of the parking lot. (I have known Eric since the 7th grade). I waved at him and said hi. He waved back." (10k, p.3408)

Note: Since Harris left the cafeteria at 10:59 a.m., it's safe to assume Kamens saw Harris leave the lot closer to 11:00 a.m. right after he planted the cafeteria bomb.

11:00 a.m. - Lucas Milne observes Robert Perry talking to some friends in the cafeteria. (Lucas Milne)

--"Milne stated that he was in the tech lab and at approx. 11:00 went to the commons area for a Coke and at that time he observed [REDACTED] [Robert Perry] in the commons area talking to some friends and that he knows [REDACTED] from the Safeway store and from school. Milne stated that [REDACTED] was wearing a black trench coat, white shirt, black pants, no hat, no glasses, black boots, and black hair." (11k, p.5623)

11:00 a.m. - Lucas Milne observes a suspect alone in the hall loading a magazine into a pistol & hears a shot fired. (Lucas Milne)

--"That just prior to the shooting that he had come out of the Tech Lab and saw a male party in a black trench coat, all black clothes, high black boots and described as a W/M approx. 6-3 in height, dark brown hair with no hat and no glasses.

This male party was putting a clip into a pistol like weapon and Milne then turned around and heard a shot but did not see where it went."

--"Milne continued stating that prior to the shooting, he had gone from the Tech Room to the commons area of the cafeteria to get a Coke and that he had seen a person he felt to be [REDACTED][Robert Perry] in the commons area, and then Milne went back to Tech Class and the shooting started moments later."

--"Milne also stated that the person in the hallway with the weapon was by himself." (10k, p.5625)

Note: It's safe to assume [REDACTED] is Robert Perry since Perry worked at Safeway and Milne said [REDACTED] and Klebold "look alike."

11:00 a.m. until the shooting begins

11:05-11:10 a.m. Harris is seen at the smoker's pit wearing a trench coat. Also in the smoker's pit are Brooks Brown and Rachel Scott (Jennifer Smull)

--"Ms. Smull said that she had seen Eric Harris at the 'smoker's pit' between 11:05 and 11:10 a.m. on 04-20-99. She wasn't sure about what he was wearing, but thought he had on a trench coat. Ms. Smull said she made a remark about having a bad day to the students at the pit and that Eric said something like, 'Not only are you having. bad day, it's Hitler's birthday.' Smull said she remembered the remark because Harris usually didn't speak with her. She said that she thought some of the other students at the smoker's pit might have been Taran Fleming, Brooks Brown, and Rachel Scott."

11:10-11:15 a.m. Harris and Klebold are seen walking toward the cafeteria entrance with a third, older suspect (Stefanie Haney)

--"Her last class prior to the A lunch was her business class. After this class, she went to the Rebel Corner store in the commons area to buy a soft drink. After buying the soft drink, she exited the commons/cafeteria through the South exit doors adjacent to the junior parking lot. As she walked to the South on the sidewalk, she saw Eric Harris, Dylan Klebold, and an unidentified male walking toward the entrances to the commons/cafeteria.

Harris was in a black trench coat and blue jeans. He appeared to be empty handed. His hands were inside of his trench coat pockets as if he were going out of his way trying to keep the coat closed, Klebold also had on a black trench coat with blue jeans. He also had his hands inside of his trench coat pockets as if he were trying to keep the coat closed. The third individual was walking about one or two feet to the rear of Klebold and Harris, however he appeared to be with Klebold and Harris.

He is described as the same height as Harris, wearing black boots, a white v-neck t-shirt, and blue jeans. Medium complexion with dirty blond hair, possibly in his early twenties. His hair was bowl cut, shaved on the sides and back. Stefanie had never seen this individual in all of her four years at the school. He looked older to her, not the age of a high school student." (11k, p.830)

11:10-11:15 a.m. Chris Morris or Robert Perry is seen near the main doors wearing a trench coat, black shirt, camouflage pants, carrying a heavy duffel bag over his shoulder. (Jennifer Smull)

--"Ms. Smull said that between 11:10 a.m. and 11:15 a.m., she saw a person, who she thought was [REDACTED] someone who hung out with Dylan, near the main doors and it appeared that he had just come in. (She later identified this person as [REDACTED]. She said that he was wearing a black trench coat, black shirt, black and white camouflage pants (he normally tucks his pants into his boots, but she didn't remember if they were tucked in or not), and he was carrying a black colored duffel bag with one or two yellow stripes, or maybe just some yellow color on it, and the bag appeared to be heavy by the way it was being carried upon his shoulder. Ms. Smull said that [REDACTED] is about 2 to 3 inches shorter than Dylan." (10k, p.2185)

Note: The [REDACTED] subject in Smull's interview is most likely Chris Morris. One instance was incompletely redacted and it appears that the last two letters of the person's name are "is," which matches Morris. Today, Smull says this suspect was Robert Perry, but that doesn't fit the last part of the redaction.

This redaction from Jennifer Smull's interview is likely Chris Morris.
The redacted subject mentioned in Jennifer Smull's interview is likely Chris Morris.
11:15 a.m. Harris is seen alone outside the cafeteria (Megan Minger)

"Megan was w/Rachel Scott 5 mins or so prior to the shooing. They saw Eric Harris by the cafeteria. (Megan knows Eric by sight since he had asked her out and she had turned him down). Eric was alone and unarmed. Eric gave Megan a 'malevolent stare' but did not say anything." (10k, p.19235)

11:10-11:20 a.m. - Klebold is seen pulling into student parking lot and/or parking. (Andrew Beard) (Amanda Mendralla) (Chad Laughlin) (Tony Martinez) (Zachary Johnston)

Witness #1: ANDREW BEARD

--"Beard said as he drove through one of the aisles in the parking lot, Klebold drove his BMW into the same aisle. Klebold was traveling in the opposite direction... Beard estimates the time of this encounter as between 11:15 and 11:20." (11k, p.684)

Witness #2: CHAD LAUGHLIN

--"As Chad pulled out, Dylan Klebold was pulling into the lot, alone, in his black BMW. Chad saw that Dylan was wearing his black trench coat." (11k, pp.954-955)

Witness #3: AMANDA MENDRALLA

--"I specifically asked her if she had seen anyone in trench coats. She said no, however, as she was leaving the lot, she saw Dylan Klebold driving into the lot, driving his black BMW, dressed in a black t-shirt. He was alone and driving very fast. She said she had made a comment to her friend Brittany how fast Dylan was driving. He was coming from the South, headed North on Pierce, when he turned into the lot." (11k, p.1003)

--"Saw Klebold pulling in parking lot at 11:15." (10k, p.16296)

Witness #4: TONY MARTINEZ

--"Tony said that upon driving back home at about 11:10 a.m., he was driving his BMW Southbound on Pierce Street (from West Bowles Avenue) and saw "Dylan Klebold" turn left, in front of him, from Northbound Pierce Street into the student parking lot of Columbine High School. Tony said that Klebold noticed him and raised his hand slightly to wave as he turned into the lot."

--"Tony was unable to describe the clothing that Klebold was wearing at that time, and 'is certain' that he noticed a passenger in Klebold's car." (11k, p.7533)

Note: Martinez saw a passenger in Klebold's car as Klebold was turning into the school's parking lot from Pierce. It's possible that Klebold let his passenger out before navigating the aisles, and perhaps Mendralla just didn't notice the passenger since Klebold was driving really fast

Witness #5: ZACHARY JOHNSTON

--"Zach further stated it wasn't until later in the morning that he saw Dylan and Dylan was driving into the parking lot, as Zach and Kayla were leaving school for lunch."

--"Zach stated he believed it was about 11:15 a.m. when they were leaving the Junior parking lot, when he observed Dylan Klebold's black early 80's BMW vehicle pull into the parking lot. Zach stated Dylan was the only occupant of the vehicle and he remembered Dylan had a baseball cap on, turned backwards, and he could see Dylan's long scruffy hair sticking out below the baseball cap." (11k, pp.897-898)

11:10 a.m. - Two individuals in trench coats are seen exiting a small car in the parking lot (Kelly Hendricks)

--"Kelly said that as they were walking to Amy's car, he saw two Trench Coat Mafia students from the back and said he knew they were Trench Coat Mafia students due to the trench coats that they were wearing at the time. Kelly said these two Trench Coat Mafia students were getting out of a vehicle which he described as a small four-door. He also said he remembered the front car doors were open. Kelly said this vehicle that they were exiting was not a BMW. Kelly said the vehicle the Trench Coat Mafia students got out of was parked next to another student by the name of Ryan Schumer's vehicle in the Senior parking lot." (11k, p.847)

Note: Did these individuals exit the tan vehicle?

11:10 a.m. - Two males in trench coats are seen sitting near the faculty lounge on the stairs (Candice Cushman)

--"About 10 minutes before it started I saw 2 guys in trench coats sitting on the stairs by the faculty lounge." (11k, p.2795)

11:15 a.m. - Klebold is seen entering the cafeteria, wearing a trench coat, walking to the vending machines. (Chris Wisher) (Jake Apodaca)

Witness #1: CHRIS WISHER

--"On April 20, 1999, just prior to the 11:15 bell, he and his friends, Jake Apodaca, Josh Chavez, and John [Last Name Unknown] were sitting at a table inside the cafeteria near the South window, which faces a parking lot. Wisher saw Dylan Klebold walk into the Southwest entrance to the cafeteria from the parking lot. He was dressed in all black, with black trousers, black shirt, black boots, a black trench coat, and a black Colorado Avalanche hat worn backwards, which had a Boston Red Sox emblem sewn on it. Wisher does not recall Klebold carrying anything, and saw him walk over to the vending machines in the cafeteria." (11k, p.1263)

Witness #2: JAKE APODACA

--"Just prior to the 11:15 bell, while sitting at a table near the South window in the cafeteria, he saw Dylan Klebold walk into the cafeteria through the Southwest entrance. He was dressed all in black, black boots, black trousers, black shirt, a black trench coat, and was wearing a backwards hat with a Boston Red Sox emblem." (11k, p.656)

11:15 a.m. - Harris is seen driving into the student parking lot (Alyssa Sechler)

--"Alyssa reported that on Tues. the 20th that she had 5th hour off and gotten out of her 4th period class at 11:10 a.m. She walked out the West entrance door and walked to her car in the parking lot. As she was driving out of the lot at approximately 11:15 a.m., Alyssa reports that she passed Eric Harris at the North end of the Junior parking lot as he was arriving driving in his gray Honda. Alyssa stated that she knew Eric well and waved at him with Eric waving back." (11k, p.1148)

11:15 a.m. - Harris is seen walking from the parking lot to the school (Derek Johnson) (Autumn Hettinger) (Melanie King)

Witness #1: DEREK JOHNSON

--"He stated that while they were waiting to go onto that roadway, Eric Harris walked in front of their vehicle. Harris was walking from the Junior lot toward the school... He was wearing a long black trench coat that went down to his shoes. He estimated the time that he saw Eric Harris as about 1115 hours... He stated Harris was by himself and walking at a very fast pace." (11k, pp.891-892)

Witness #2: AUTUMN HETTINGER

--"I was in my car exiting the Senior parking lot and he was standing by the Junior pk lot on the grass & sidewalk area, so I stopped my car and I let him walk by. He stood and stared at me for a couple of minutes. This happened at approx. 11:16 a.m. He had a black trench coat on that had a huge bulge around the waist area that was really obvious. And he also had something on his back (bulging) under the trench coat. Then he walked onto the sidewalk that leads into the student entrance." (11k, p.853)

--"She stated that she was driving out of the Junior parking lot Eastbound toward Pierce Street at about 1118 hours on 4-20-99. She stated when she was driving out of the driveway she had to stop just South of the school near the sidewalk that is in front of the South cafeteria entrance. She stated she had to stop for Eric Harris, who was wearing a black trench coat, and seemed to have items underneath his jacket. She stated that it was 'a massive huge bulge' and he was wearing black army pants that had cargo pockets on the side. She also stated she believed he was wearing a white t-shirt underneath the jacket." (11k, p.857)

Witness #3: MELANIE KING

--"Melanie told me that she believed it was between 11:15 and 11:20 a.m. when she reached her vehicle, which was parked in the senior lot, space #4. Melanie stated she proceeded to drive from the Senior parking lot and as she was passing the Junior parking lot, she recalled seeing Dylan Klebold dressed in his black trench coat and he was walking from the parking lot in the direction of the high school." (11k, p.942)

11:15 a.m. - Harris, Klebold, and a third, unfamiliar man are seen entering the cafeteria. The man is wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans, and is later identified by one witness as an associate of Mark Manes. (pp.829-34/pp.1159-60)

11:15 a.m. - Patrick Vassar sees four or five black-clad individuals walking away from the main entrance. They are all wearing trench coats, except for one, who is wearing camouflage pants. (p.4691)

11:15 a.m. - Harris and Klebold are seen together at the top of the stairs; Klebold leaves (Kari Klapper)

--"Kari related that when she reached the top of the stairs, at about 11:15 a.m., she noticed Dylan Klebold standing near the entry to the building. She said that Rachel Scott and Richard Castaldo were also sitting on the sidewalk near the entrance having lunch. She related that she spoke briefly to Rachel and Richard, and as she started to walk down the sidewalk to the 'pit' she noticed that Dylan had left and a male subject she believed to be Eric Harris was standing there. She advised that she was not entirely sure the subject was Harris. She advised that he was wearing a white t-shirt, black pants with black suspenders, and he was holding a gun at his side with both hands." (11k, p.945)

--"Kari stated that just before the shots the only people at the top of the stairs were Harris, Rachel, and Richard." (11k, p.946)

11:15 a.m. - Harris/a suspect is seen alone at the top of the stairs (Jason Brehm) (Nick Baker) (Shannon Johnson)

Witness #1: JASON BREHM

--"Jason reported that on Tues. the 20th he had 5th period off and had retrieved his soccer ball out of his locker and was walking out the West upper level entrance when he observed a party wearing a trench coat and black hat turned around backwards who was leaning against a green post that was anchoring a tree... John stated that the person was a little shorter than himself. John is 5'11" or 6', and that he was wearing a black pair of boots that had black canvas between the sole and upper part and he noticed that one of the boots had the pant leg tucked into the boot which he thought strange.

Det. Demmel showed Jason photographs of Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold at that time with Jason reporting that the party he observed wearing the trench coat had a very round face and was neither Harris or Klebold... Jason added that the party had a black nylon bag with straps at his feet. Jason described the bag as being approximately 1+1/2 to 2 feet long and appeared full."

--"While playing, Jason heard what he thought sounded like a string of firecrackers going off and saw smoke coming up from next to the guy in the trench coat. He stated that the person in the trench coat was the same party that he had observed when he walked out of the door. Jason stated that the guy in the trench coat was alone." (11k, p.719)

Witness #2: NICK BAKER

--"After 4th period class, at about 1110 hours, Baker walked out of the building, exiting by the West doors on the upper level. When he walked out of the school he stated that he saw Eric Harris. He stated he is positive it was Harris. He stated Harris was standing near a tree perhaps 20 to 30 feet from the West doors Baker had exited from. He stated that Harris was standing in front of the tree looking over the Senior parking lot. Harris was wearing a black trench coat and sunglasses. He may have been wearing a black baseball cap.

Baker stated that when he walked out of the school, Harris momentarily looked up at him and then looked back down. Harris was putting on a pair of black bicycle gloves which did not have fingertips. Baker saw Harris put a small grayish colored duffel bag on the grass. He stated that the bag appeared heavy and when it hit the ground it had a metal sound. Harris placed the grayish bag by his feet and slightly behind him. Baker stated there was no one around when he walked out of the school except for Harris." (11k, p.680)

Witness #3: SHANNON JOHNSON

--"Shannon Johnson stated she had been walking out the entrance of the high school, near the library, at the top of the stairs. As she exited, she saw Eric Harris standing at the top of the stairs to the right side of the sidewalk. She stated he was standing on the grass, not on the sidewalk. Shannon Johnson stated Harris was looking down the stairs and was standing by himself... She stated he was wearing a black trench coat with some sort of black pants... Shannon Johnson stated he had a backpack, possibly black, sitting on the ground near his feet, but that she did not notice anything in his hands."

--"Shannon Johnson stated she had just left her Philosophy class, and it was her lunch period. She stated she did not know what time it was when she actually exited the school and saw Harris, but stated she recalls looking at her watch as she was leaving the parking lot and that it said 11:22 a.m. (11k, p.894)

11:15 a.m. -11:20 a.m. - After the first explosion, Harris is seen talking to Brooks Brown at the top of the stairs by the West entrance. Brooks walks away, down the stairs, and Harris pulls out a gun and shoots out the West doors (Stephanie Wagner)

--"Stephanie stated that she was out at the 'smoking pit' at 11:15-11:20 a.m. and that she had started to walk to the cafeteria when she heard an explosion, but didn't think anything of it because she thought it was a Senior prank. Stephanie then stated that she saw Eric Harris at the top of the stairs talking to Brooks Brown. I asked Stephanie what Eric was wearing and she stated that he was in his black trench coat and black pants. I asked Stephanie what happened next and she replied Brooks went down the stairs and Eric pulled out a "BIG" gun and started shooting into the main hall doors. I asked Stephanie if she was sure that she had seen Brooks Brown and not someone else and she stated that she was sure." (11k, p.1255)

Note: Did Wagner see Brown or Klebold? Since numerous other people saw Harris alone before the first explosion, and Kari Klapper saw Klebold leave that area at 11:15, before the first explosion, it's possible that Wagner really did see Brown - she saw him after she heard the first explosion.

11:20-11:30 a.m. - A witness sees two people in trench coats walking near the equipment building toward Clement Park (Caryn Slizeski)

--"(W)Slizeski stated Hardy's car was parked in the Senior lot and they exited the school through the main West doors then turned and walked down the steps leading to the cafeteria area. Upon exiting, (W)Slizeski stated she noticed two individuals wearing black trench coats out in the field in the area between the equipment building and the soccer fields... The two males were at a distance, but thought they were walking toward Clement Park. She stated she recognized one of the individuals as Eric Harris, whom she had a class with last year. She described the other individual as looking big and fat with dark hair."

--"Slizeski was not sure of the time she left school grounds, but thought it was approx. 11:30 a.m." (11k, pp.1166-1167)

11:20 a.m. - Four to five individuals in black trench coats are seen walking toward the cafeteria. (Dick Strange)

--"As they proceeded around the park in Strange's golf cart, they ended up on the large hill overlooking Columbine High School (CHS), Northwest of the football field. It was there at approximately 11:45 a.m. that Strange first observed four to five individuals, all dressed in black trench coats, standing alongside CHS in the vicinity of the gymnasium... Strange then observed these individuals walk Southwest along the high school, heading from the gym towards the cafeteria side of the school."

--"As the two men reached the small structure located near the outfield fence of the Southernmost CHS baseball field, Strange began hearing what he thought was possibly firecrackers going off. He then observed one individual, dressed in a trench coat, standing in front of the Southwest entrance of CHS, the one with the big glass doors. Strange saw this person drop his coat, pull out two guns and begin firing at students socializing in and around the soccer and football field areas. Strange also heard explosions going off at this time." (11k, p.1194)

11:20 a.m. - Harris is seen in the parking lot with two or three other males. (Adam Campbell)

--"He stated he is on 'A' lunch and left the school at approximately 11:20 a.m... Campbell stated he saw Eric Harris when he was leaving for lunch. He stated Harris was located in the parking lot and he thought there were 2 or 3 other guys with him. He stated Harris was wearing a white t-shirt, had on a backwards baseball cap." (11k, p.732)

Note: This likely occurred closer to 11:15 a.m.

11:20 a.m. - Immediately before the shooting, a heavyset male wearing a trench coat and camouflage pants is seen in the parking lot (Alisa Owen)

--"She said that there was one person standing between two cars in the lot. She couldn't ID the person as they had their back to her, but she thought that they were wearing a black trench coat and looked heavier-set and was wearing camel army pants." (11k, p.3982)

11:30 a.m. - After the first shots, a male wearing blue jeans walks away from the school over Columbine Hill with a duffel bag (Nancy Lindsey)

--"Nancy started walking around the lake telling me that she had a headset radio on and she was listening to KHOW radio station and it was about 11:15 a.m. when the radio station reported that there were two gunmen on the roof at Columbine High School with grenades... she heard the sound of three gunshots coming in the direction of Columbine High School... She told me that due to the fact she was behind Columbine Hill, she could not see the high school and she never looked directly at the high school.

While Nancy was facing East toward Columbine Hill, she observed a white male in his late teens, early 20's with brown hair, fair complexion, telling me he was average height, about 5'10" anywhere from 160 to 170 pounds, wearing blue jeans. She stated that the individual was about fifty yards away from her. She made eye contact with him and that he smiled at her. "She said that in one hand he was carrying a large duffel bag, in the other hand he had a smaller type nylon bag about four feet in length, telling me that she had no idea what was contained inside the bag." Rachel Scott oddities

Where was Scott shot? Some witnesses reported 2 people with her, not just Richard Castaldo. That second person may have been Jessica Rosecrans.

--"Ms. Margetts said her daughter, Jessica Rosecrans, DOB [REDACTED], was standing with the Scott girl when the Scott girl was shot. Her daughter also received a threat from Eric Harris in a bowling class earlier Tuesday morning on 04/20/1999." (11k, p.17489)

--"Ms. Margetts said her daughter was standing next to her friend R. Scott when Scott was shot. Rosecrans ran to her car and drove out of the So. school lot and went to Clement park, where she left her car." (11k, p.4238)

--"On 04/20/1999, at approximately 11:20 a.m., Rosecrans was in the cafeteria at table C with Dusty Hoffschneider, Garrett Looney, Steven Trujillo and others. Rosecrans heard shooting and explosions, but did not observe any of the activity. Rosecrans exited the school with other students. Rosecrans was not with Rachel Scott when she was shot and she has no specific knowledge of her shooting." (10k, p.17489)

--"Rosecrans was not near Rachel Scott when she was shot and does not know any specifics of her shooting." (11k, p.4240)

Note: The above line is similar to the line from her interview summary in the 10k, and seems out of place for this initial interview because nowhere in her 4-27-99 11k interview summary does it mention Rachel Scott

--"Ms. Margetts said her daughter has went out of town and has not talked to authorities as of 4-23-99." (11k, p.4238)
